Osnovni podaci o knjizi

1. Autor knjige je Branislav Uzelac.

2. Autor fotografija je Goran Milošević, uz jedan manji broj fotografija drugih autora.

3. Predgovor je napisala prof. dr En Pringl (Anne Pringle) sa Harvarda.

4. Recenzenti su prof. dr Milan Matavulj sa biološkog instituta Univerziteta u Novom Sadu i prof. dr Branislav Ranković sa Instituta za biologiju i ekologiju Kragujevačkog Univerziteta.

5. Predstavljeno je 1205 vrsta, varijeteta i formi kompletnim opisom i fotografijama i još nekoliko stotina kroz komentare.

6. Format knjige je A4 (tvrd povez), obim je 464 strane, a broj ilustracija i fotografija je 1265.

7. Opis svake vrste sadrži: morfologiju (osnovne podatke o dimenzijama, obliku, boji i konzistenciji plodnog tela), mikroskopiju (oblik i dimenzije spora, boju spora u masi, cistide itd), podatke o kontekstu (boja i promena boje mesa, konzistenciju, miris i ukus), hemijske reakcije (ukoliko su značajne za determinaciju), podatke o staništu (frekventnost pojavljivanja), podatke o upotrebljivosti (jestiva, nejestiva, otrovna, smrtno otrovna) i po potrebi komentare o ekologiji, sličnim vrstama itd.

8. Predstavljen je veliki broj retkih gljiva (npr. Agaricus decoratus, Agaricus altipes, Amanita velosa, Boletus junquileus, Hygrocybe calyptriformis, Macrolepiota puellaris,  itd.) kao i jedan broj doskoro nepoznatih vrsta determinisanih u poslednjih par godina (Leccinum albostipitatum, Xerocomus bubalinus, Xerocomus persicolor itd).

9. Tiraž je 1000 primeraka, a cena knjige je 11.800 dinara.
